Services
We provide hard-to-recycle recycling services and education services that make community-driven climate action practical and accessible. Through workshops, collection programs, and post-consumer plastic processing, we support truly sustainable, circular manufacturing by transforming overlooked waste into valuable new materials.

Post Consumer Plastic Processing
We process post-consumer plastics that often go overlooked. We partner with local businesses, and sort, clean, shred and transform plastics #2, #5, and #7 (PLA) into beautiful, useful, lasting products. This approach extracts plastics directly from the waste stream, reduces reliance on virgin plastics and fuels a community-driven, regenerative materials economy.

Education + Workshops
We offer interactive workshops that transform plastic waste into opportunities. Serving schools, corporate teams, and communities, we teach participants the climate science and economics behind plastic recycling. Participants will learn how to identify, sort and repurpose overlooked plastics into useful, beautiful items. Our sessions combine science, creativity, and crafting, empowering individuals to engage in climate action that is practical, hopeful, and actionable.

Collection Points +
Community Recovery Programs
We help schools, businesses, and community groups establish targeted collection points for small, easily lost plastics like #2 and #4 caps, lids, tags, and fragments that often escape traditional recycling, and plastics like PLA 3D printer scraps that are rejected by large recycling facilities and become pollution.
We provide simple systems for sorting, storage, and processing, and can pair collection with clean-ups and workshops so communities see their material transformed.
About us
Re:Create Brooklyn began in April 2024 as Trash Club Brooklyn, a family-friendly cleanup and sustainability group focused on NYC parks and shorelines without recycling services. Following the trail of plastic pollution led us into the world of DIY, small-scale recycling.
We began partnering with local businesses to collect and process their “unrecyclable” plastic waste, transforming it into durable, industry-useful products through truly circular manufacturing.
Over the past year, we’ve led hands-on small-scale recycling workshops in collaboration with NYC and New York State Parks, NYC Public Schools, local businesses, and major corporations.
As we grow, we continue intercepting overlooked plastics and establishing collection points and community recycling programs that empower people to transform their own waste into something useful, meaningful, and lasting.
We are proud to serve as the home of the
Precious Plastic Brooklyn Community Point.
